Scylla and Charybdis
Worst pain that Odysseus had every suffered. This event really caused Odysseus to realize just how much he needed his crew it shows this when he talks about how loosing his crew was the worst pain that he had to endure and suffer. I say he felt this way because he felt as if he let his crew down by not doing more to help them in the fight with Scylla and he led them to their death. Which is why that was the worst pain that he ever suffered because he felt as if he let his crew down. -

Sirens
Sirens are these sea creatures that lie to "bewitch" coasting men. All men who are on the ship near the sirens are in danger when the sirens release their cry. They entice the men with their cry and they will sing the men's minds away. This showed just how much Odysseus actually cared for his men. It shows that even though he has one
