Women get the right to vote
This was a big time in history because women got to vote for the first time in the 1920s. This was also the start of giving women more rights. This evolved into a much bigger protest that is still somewhat going on today. -
The roaring 20's
The Roaring 20s were when everyone was thriving and getting through it. With this, everyone was able to pay for basic needs. This is shown in The Great Gatsby with everyone having nice houses and being able to afford needs and much more. -
the start of the automobile
This was the beginning of the product line, and I was able to make a lot of things in a day and get many out per day. This has evolved a lot since the start of the automobile. -
The basic Credit system
The basic credit system was created during this time and was one of the biggest reasons the economy crashed. -

This was the start of the great depression, and this happened because everyone bought stocks on credit, and then the company went bankrupt -
The dustbowl
This was a very bad time in America, and it killed many people due to dust being everywhere and people inhaling too much dust. This started because we did not know about the soil and how you are not supposed to keep the same crops on it every year. This event taught us how to rotate out crops to make sure this doesn't happen again.. This takes place around the time of Mice and Men and talks about it a little bit. -
The struggles of the great depression
Life during the great depression was such that everyone was jobless. People were barely able to afford a house or food. This is shown in Mice and Men when George and Lennie had to go from ranch to ranch to get money to survive to live. -
the end of the great depression
the great depression ended in 1939. The main reason why it ended was that World War 2 started and gave people the opportunity to get jobs.
