    The bombing of Tokyo was a time and era of air riads done on Japan. This act was committed by the United States. Jimmy Doolittle and group 16 conducted this attack. As a result of this attack minor damages were done but Americas morale was boosted.
  • Coral Sea

    This event was an air battle between airplanes, which was launched by airplane carriers off the coast of Australia. The U.S fleet turned back a Japanese invasion force that had been heading for Port Moresby.
  • Midway

    This battle was a major turning point in the Pacific War. The U.S Navy and cryptography ambushed and defeated an attacking fleet of the Imperial Japanese aircraft Navy. As a result four Japanese aircraft carriers were sunk.

    This battle was the first major Allied offensive in the Pacific. The U.S Army and Marines fought to capture the island from the Japanese. This battle marked the beginning of the Allies' island-hopping campaign.
  • Leyte Gulf

    This battle was the largest naval battle to be known. The U.S wanted to retake the Philippines, and Japan launched its last-digit effort to defend the islands. The battle saw the first widespread use of kamikaze suicide attacks by Japan. The Japanese Navy was destroyed as a result.

    The "Yalta Battle" refers not to a military conflict but to the 1945 Yalta Conference, where Allied leaders Churchill, Roosevelt, and Stalin negotiated post-World War II plans, shaping the geopolitical landscape.

    This battle was apart of apart of the U.S's strategy to gain islands closer to Japan for air raids. U.S Marines faced fierce resistance from Japanese forces entrenched in caves and bunkers. The battle was very expensive.

    The United States launched an attack on Okinawa facing Japanese resistance. The battle killed 7,600 Americans and 110,000 Japanese.

    The Battle of Nuremberg lasted a total of five days. The forces of the U.S 7th army and Nazi Germany fought.

    Prisoners of war were enslaved and forced to do labor work. The work was very harsh and inhumane.

    Hiroshima and Nagasaki
    Two very large bombs were set off around this location. As a result of this event Japan had to surrender.
