Japan, violating the rules of Treaty of Versailles, invaded Manchuria with their military force. This was a act similar to those Germany did the Czechoslovakia and marked danger to the Allies. -

After the bombing of Pearl Harbor and lost a huge casualty, US declared war on Japan. This evantually led them to WWII and US's military and supply served to the victory of the Allies. -
Battle of Midway
The turning point in the war in the Pacific came in June, 1942 at the Battle of Midway. In a four day battle fought between aircraft based on giant aircraft carriers, the U.S. destroyed hundreds of Japanese planes and regained control of the Pacific. -
Battle of Saipan, Guam, and Philiphine
US proceeded to crush the occupying islands and countries Japan owned. After the victory of Midway, US showed confidence in defeting Japan, and most of them were Naval battles. -
Battle of Okinawa
US army decided to launch an attack in a large island of Okinawa inorder to invade Japan easier later on. This battle became the largest amphibious assault in the Pacific War, and the victory was actually the turning point,where US would be able to capture Japan much more easily. -
Bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki
The Japanese fought on even after the war in Europe ended. Truman decided to use the newly developed atomic bomb to end the war quickly and prevent more U.S. casualties. The Enola Gay dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, killing milions of casualties. Thus, Japan finally surrendered and WWII was officially ended.
