PGT Beauregard was born on May, 28 1818 in New Orleans, LA.

He had a prominent Creole family and lived in Louisiana on a sugarcane plantation. After graduating from West Point he married Marie Antoinette Laure Villeré, the daughter of a Louisiana sugarcane planter. The two would have three children before her death in 1850. Ten years later Beauregard married his second wife, Caroline Deslonde, but she would die in New Orleans in 1864 following a long illness.

Beauregard attended the US Military Academy at West Point and graduated in 1838.

He was a general in the Battle of Bull Run.

Beauregard was a General in the Confederate Army.

Fought in the Battle of Shiloh, which was fought in Southwestern Tennessee. The battle started when there was a surprise attack on the Union army. although the Union still won. Other people who fought in the battle were Ulysses S. Grant (Union General) and Albert Sidney Johnston(Confederate General.) Finally the number of casualties of the Union was 13,000 and for the Confederate army it was 10,000.

Beauregard also fought in the battle of Corinth.

P.G.T. Beauregard was also in the Battle of Petersburg which was one of the last major battles of the war.

Other than being a military general PGT Beauregard also was a railroad director and a supervisor for the Louisiana Lottery.

Beauregard died on February 20, 1893 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
