But Lili’uokalani said not to fight; but Diplomacy will prevail. The American Sugar planters and the U.S. Minister agreed that the government is a provisional government of Hawaii.

    Queen Lili´uokalani wanted to clear up the provisional government by protesting and sharing it with congress and the president of the U.S. This was when she realized how the overthrow happened a long time ago. Despite that, the president and U.S. secretary actually supported the invasion of Hawaii. In the end of 1893, President Cleveland pointed out factors of the U.S. wanting to start war, and sided with Queen Liliuokalani. But the congress and the Committee disliked it.
