Movie Run In
After the movies Ponyboy gets jumped by Socs.
Here we learn of Greasers vs Socs -
Movie Drive In
Since last time Ponyboy had gotten jump since he was alone at the movies, he had to go again with Dally & Johnny. Here, they meet Cherry Valance and Marcia, two Soc girls. -
Johnny and Ponyboy runaway
After Johnny had killed Bob, they go over to Dally for help and he sends them to an abandoned church in a town called Windrixville. -
Darry and Pony fight.
Ponyboy gets home at 2 in the morning so Darry is frustrated because he was worried. Darry ends up slapping him. -
Dally meets with Johnny and Pony
After days of living in the church and eating only bologna and beef jerky, Dally finally visits them and gives Pony a letter from Soda, telling him that they're worried and they hope he's okay. Afterwards, Dally decides to take them to Dairy Queen, and Johnny admits to his plan to turn himself in. -
Johnny and Pony save kids from a fire
While in Dally's car, they pass by the church and realize it's on fire. Some children visiting were caught inside within the fire, and Ponyboy rushes towards the church to save them. Johnny follows, and during this event, Johnny gets hit by debris and is severely injured. Dally pulls the both of them out and they get taken to a hospital. -
Pony and Johnny were transported to a hospital
It was the same night as when Pony and Johnny saved the kids from the fire. Pony woke up in an ambulance, and was on his way to the nearest hospital. He was informed that Johnny was in critical condition, and Dally was also hospitalized. Soon after arriving at the hospital, Ponyboy and his brothers, Darry and Soda, had finally reunited. -
Ponyboy comes back home
After reuniting at the hospital, Darry and Soda bring Pony back home, and Two-Bit shows up the next morning. Ponyboy reads over the news and sees that they covered the whole situation, including what happened with Bob and the church. They depicted both Pony and Johnny as heroes. Ponyboy also finds out that he would have to attend a court meeting -
Pony talks with Randy
Ponyboy and Two-BIt leave the house to go visit Dally and Johnny, and while on the way there, they make a stop at Tasty Freeze to get some rest and some cokes. While there, Pony runs into Randy and Randy shares his perspective on the situation. Pony finds out that Randy won't participate in the rumble, regardless of how much he's grieving over Bob. -
Pony and Two-Bit visit Johnny
Finally making it to the hospital, they have a little issue when trying to visit Johnny. The nurse told them no visitors, as Johnny was in critical condition, but the doctor let them in anyways, foreshadowing that Johnny may be on his deathbed. Two-bit tells Johnny that the rumble would be tonight, which shocks Johnny. Two-Bit and Pony run into Johnny's mother, and Two-Bit tells her off. -
The Rumble
Later that night, the Greaser gang prepares for the fight against the Socs. All of them get pretty fired up, doing flips outside of the house and saying motivating phrases. Dally ends up showing up at the rumble, and the Greasers win. -
Two-Bit and Pony visit Dally
When visiting Dally, Dally shows his urgency to win the rumble, and that reason being to get them back for Johnny. Two-Bit and Pony agree with this, and Two-Bit even gives Dally his prized possession (his switchblade) to keep him prepared for the rumble. -
Johnny's passing
Even if he was really beat up, Ponyboy tries his best to make it to the hospital to visit Johnny, and Dally was alongside with him. They had encountered some issues like being pulled over by an officer, but they made it in time regardless. Johnny was on the brink of death, and before he passed, he tells Pony to "Stay Gold." Dally rushes out of the hospital in anger, sadness, and defeat. -
Dally's Death
Darry answered a call saying that Dally had robbed a store and is being chased by police, and would be at the lot. Everyone in the Curtis house was in a dead run towards the lot, and they had found Dally running in from the opposite direction, a cop car following him. Dally had raised his gun, bluffing about there being ammo in it, and was shot by the police. -
The End
Dally and Johnny are dead. Ponyboy has a semester theme to write and he and Darry fight again much to Soda's dismiss. After that he decides to open up Gone WIth the Wind again, finds Johnny's letter and now knows how to start his theme.
