FOUNDATION
Tarapoto is well known as “La Ciudad de las Palmeras”.
It is a commercial town located in the San Martín Province of the San Martín Region in Peru. It is the largest city of the region of san martin. Tarapoto was founded on August 20, 1782 by the Spanish bishop Baltazar Jaime Martínez de Compagnon y Bujanda.
