How I encountered radios: Radio stations play a major role in sharing news and educational information that's why my parents want me to listen radio because it shares a lot of important information and they also love listening to it. -
Kristine - Magazine
Magazines are used to advertise products and share the hottest news. My father introduced me to magazines (Kids' magazine) as he read his newspaper because he thought magazines are "more fun" to read as it's more colorful and appealing to children's eyes. Although I couldn't comprehend clearly what magazines are actually for at that age, one thing I know for sure is that I enjoyed flipping through each page of the magazine because of the images printed on it. -
Kyla and Kristine - TV
How Kyla encountered TV: 2006 I started watching television because my cousins also watch this one. It is very fun because you will learn different things and of course you will know what is happening in our world especially in our country How Kristine encountered TV: I was 5 years old when I encountered TV's. I can still remember sitting beside my father while he's watching football on the television and later on he would change it to Kids' Shows. -
Kyla - Nokia 3310
2007-2008 Mobile phones are used for a variety of purposes, such as keeping in touch with family members. I started with a very affordable phone since we don't have enough money to buy an expensive one but I am still happy because at the young age my parents already allow me to use a phone for emergencies only. -
Kristine - Sony Ericsson A2618
Although this phone looks really old, this was the first phone I have ever used. My father gave this phone to me, which I assume was broken and of course out of date which made him decide to give it to me to "play" with it and learn how to use a phone. I didn't know how to use phones at that time and how phones work, so one time when the phone was dirty, not knowing how to clean phones, I cleaned it with water. After that, I was left with a broken a phone. -
Kristine - Sony Vaio Laptop
This was time I encountered laptops. A laptop is a computer that is portable and suitable for use while traveling. My ate Bing taught me how to use the laptop and even taught me how to play games. I find it really convenient to use a laptop and I was introduced to the world of internet. I watched how my ate Bing would get on her Friendster account and interact with others. -
Kristine - Nokia 2600 Classic
A cellphone is a portable telephone that can make and receive calls over a radio frequency link while the user is moving within a telephone service area. After the incident from using my first ever phone, I've learned how to actually use a phone and how to clean it properly. My parents gave me this phone for emergency purposes. I learned how to text messages and have phone calls. I was also able to capture photos with this phone. -
Kristine - Samsung C3050
Unfortunately, my father was not happy with the PMP because he thought it was useless so he told my mother to buy me another phone which is more useful than a PMP. With this phone I was already able to communicate with my classmates through text messages and phone calls and not just merely for emergency purposes. -
Kristine - Portable Media Player (PMP/mp5)
A PMP is a portable consumer electronics device capable of storing and playing digital media such as audio, images, and video files. I bought this when I was at Cebu because I got interested. Although it wasn't an Original device, I enjoyed playing different games, listening to music, and capturing pictures on this device. -
Kristine - Acer Computer
A computer is an electronic device for storing and processing data. My parents decided to buy a computer because they realized how convenient it will be rather than going to the internet cafe everytime we do our homework or even use the internet. In this time, I was already exposed to YouTube and I had my first Facebook account which I enjoyed playing online games and communicating with my classmates and family from far away. Up to this day, we still have this computer with us. -
Kyla - Cherry Mobile Flare
2012- 2015 after how many years my mom decided to buy a touchscreen phone which is cherry mobile flare. I enjoyed it very much because I can now communicate with my family who's far from us. I also played a different games, and captured memories. -
Kyla - Cherry Mobile KEYPAD
2009-2010 I had a cherry mobile keypad phone, though it is small but the important thing is I can communicate with other people especially with my family and friends. This phone can also have access to the internet. -
Kristine - MyPhone QTV20
Since my phone was stolen, I still needed a phone so that I will be able to contact my parents especially when I need to be fetched at school. So my mother decided to lend me her spare phone temporarily. -
Kristine - Samsung Champ
This was my first feature phone which is a term typically used as a retronym to describe a class of mobile phones. Feature phones tend to use a proprietary, custom-designed software and user interface, and lack the capabilities of smartphones. When my old Samsung phone was broken, my parents bought me another phone so that I will be able to contact them when I am at school. Unfortunately it was stolen and I got in a lot of trouble because of this situation. -
Kristine - Sony Bravia TV
Because our old TV was really outdated, my parents decided to make an upgrade with our TV. This TV is able to use Skype, YouTube and many more. Up to this day, we are still using the same TV. -
Kristine - Samsung Galaxy Tab
A tablet computer, commonly shortened to tablet, is a mobile device, typically with a mobile operating system and LCD touchscreen display processing circuitry, and a rechargeable battery in a single thin, flat package. My mother bought this device because she was interested in it. Unfortunately she didn't know how to use a tablet so she gave it to me as a graduation gift. Until now, we still use this tablet but not so often. -

2011 - one of the most important and necessary items of use is a computer or a laptop. It plays a vital role in our every day work and is of great help. I am thankful that in this year they released these kinds of things that really help me in doing my projects and as well as my assignments. It also gives information. -
Kristine - Cherry Mobile Flare
This was my first ever smartphone which is a mobile phone that performs many of the functions of a computer, typically having a touchscreen interface, Internet access, and an operating system capable of running downloaded applications. I chose to buy this phone because it wasn't expensive, and I conveniently have access to social media on this phone without having to get on the computer to log in on my FB account. Unfortunately, it got broken because it fell on the floor way too hard. -
Kristine - Samsung J7 2016
After more or less 3 years of not having a smart phone, I temporarily used the tablet and computer for social media and homework. However, I realized that it was hard for me communicate with my mom when I'm at school so we decided to buy a new phone. This was phone which I had for the longest time until it got broken on 2018. -
Kyla - Samsung J2 Prime
2016-2017I received a gift from my mom, which is a Samsung J2 prime phone. This phone is the most important piece of equipment I own. -
Kristine - Samsung Galaxy J7 Core
Because my last phone was broken, I needed a replacement. Although I didn't buy a better phone than my last one, it still works really good and it's just what I needed since I desperately needed a phone because it's undeniable that we need phones in our generation especially for communication. -

Mobile phones are most valuable in today's world.
Cell phones are the perfect way to stay connected with others and provide the user with a sense of security that's why I am using a samsung J7 and it is bigger than my past phones . Having a cell phone can allow to reach people quickly and could possibly save lives. However, the importance of cell phones goes way beyond personal safety.
