Creation

God creates the world in 6 days and rests on the 7th

OT timeline

3150 BCE

Adam and Eve banished from The Garden of Eden

Adam and Eve betray God. He punishes them by banishing them from the Garden

2300 BCE

~2300 BC - The Flood of Noah

To rid the Earth of its evils, God sends a mighty flood to wipe the Earth. He calls upon Noah to build an ark and upon it house two of every animal so they can repopulate the Earth.

2100 BCE

Abraham (First Patriarch)

God calls upon Abram, changes his name to Abraham, and becomes the first patriarch of the Old Testament

1500 BCE

Moses

Moses leads the Israelites out of Egyptian captivity.

1400 BCE

Joshua and the Battle of Jericho

Joshua leads the conquest of Canna. After 7 days the walls of Jericho fell with the help of God.

1000 BCE

King Saul and King David

King saul reigns and tries to kill David. David is from the famous biblical story of David and Goliath

900 BCE

Israel Divides

After the death of King Solomon, the kingdom of Israel Divides into Judah, and Northern Israel.

586 BCE

Babylonian Exile

due to unfaithfulness to God, The Israelite people were taken over by the Babylonians and forced into exile for 70 years.

Period: 586 BCE to 1 BCE

~400 Years of Silence/ End of OT

God is quiet for 400 years. During this time the Babylonians are taken over by the Persians, then the Greeks, and Ultimately the Romans who are in control by the start of the NT
