This event consisted days after Britain and France declared war against nazi Germany. President Roosevelt issued a proclamation of neutrality and ordered the suspension of munitions sales to all belligerents. Roosevelt did this knowing that the only way Britain and France can beat Germany is to give them ample simplest and weaponry and they did this south out getting involved by having them take supplies back with them. -
Battle of Britain
This battle was Britain miraculously holding off against Germany while America deliberated. Also the United States s transferred 50 to Britain in exchange for naval bases but by directly helping allies America couldn’t stay hidden from conflict so Roosevelt urged that construction of planes be made to protect americas coast. -
Soviet Union invasion
Hitler hoping to gain mass land and seize oil fields broke the German soviet non aggression pact. By June Germany invaded the Soviet Union then Stalin ordered his troops to adapt a scorched earth policy to move east and destroy food and shelters while Germany moved forward and split to three groups and stood at Moscow. -
Operation torch
British victory at EL Alamein began pushing the Germans back. During November the first American combat troops entered the war, landing in French morocco pushing Germans east while the British pushed them west. -
D-day
D-day is the time where the western allies launch a large scale invasion in noreway located on the north west coast of France. The invasion was a success. -
