The Oklahoma land rush began when they opened a settlement that eventually removed most of Indian Territory from Indian control. This allowed whites to settle large swaths of land that had previously been designated for specific Indian tribes. -

What happened in the Civil War was that how the the states each had problems when it came to slavery but some states agreed to take off slaves. But the main problem was that they used slavery for picking crops like cotton which they relied on slaves to do it. -
The Reconstruction Treaties
The reconstruction treaties gave the freedmen tribal rights. A man named Albert pine representing the confederate government showed up to secure agreements with the tribes. -
The Dawes Act
The act was about how they wanted to make lands for each Native American. So they just wanted them to each own a piece of land. -
The Indian Reorganization
It explains that it granted the native Americans control over their land. They also provided schools for the children half of the Indians in public schools in 1950.
