The great peace of Montreal was a peace treaty signed by Louis-Hector de Calliere and 1300 representatives of 40 first nations. The treaty lasted for 16 years before the fighting started up again. -

James Murray
James Murray changed the laws that were put into place when the royal proclamation started. He did this because 99% of the population of Quebec what French and Catholic. He tried to make them happy when the laws started. -
Royal Proclamation
-The Royal Proclamation was made ad the begining of the British Regime.
-It added english laws such as English Criminal laws and English Civil Laws

After France had been defeated by Great Britain during the 7 years war, France and Britain signed a treaty which gave britain all of the land of New France. -
The Quebec Act
-The Quebec Act was Designed to satisfy the Canadians and keep them from joining the ammericans.

The English Loyalists
After the American Revolution, everyone still loyal to Britain moved up north to their other colony in Canada. The English population in canada increased from 1% to 10%. -
The Constitutional Act
The province of quebec was split into two halves, Upper Canada and Lower Canada. -
The 92 Resolutions
Louis Joseph Papinau wrote 92 resolution and sent it to Britain hoping to fix some problems. He mainly wanted a responsible government. -
Rebellions Of The Party Patriotes
After Papineau sent the 92 resolutions a responce came back called the 10 resolutions. The 10 resolutions didn't resolve anything that Papineau wanted so rebellions broke out in both canadas. -
World War I
Canada was forced to join the war because they were still part of Britain and had to fight with them.
