Sacking the city
The Greeks, after winning the Trojan War start to sail home, on the way they sack the city of Ismarus. As they sack the city, Odysseus wishes to go home while the rest of the men want to continue the sacking of the city. This allows Ismarus's neighboring island to attack them in defence. Odysseus loses 78 men because of this. (On this island, Odysseus get very delicious wine) -

Lotus Eater Island
The crew lands on the island of the lotus eater. The people on the only spent their lives eating the lotus growing on the island. Odyseus sents his men to scout the island, only to have them eat the lotus and losing desire to go home. Odyseus then forcefully drag his scouts to his ships to return home. -

Cyclops Island and the one next to it.
The crew goes to the island next to the Cyclops Island. It has thick woods and is teeming with goats. The land is very fertile but it is empty of human kind. -

The Journey into the Cyclops cave.
Odyseus and his crew stay on the island next to the Cyclop's island for the morning to hunt the goats. After they ate, Odyseus's ship travel onto the Cyclops island so they could explore the island. They go into the cave of the Cyclop so that they can meet the Cyclop (At least Odyseus did). -

Meeting with a Cyclop
The crew eats the cheese and drink the milk inside of the cave while waiting for the Cyclop to return. When he returns, he moves a large boulder onto the entrance of the cave. He spots the crew in the cave and eats two of them for his dinner. He then sleeps while trapping the crew inside the cave. -

Tricking a Cyclops.
The cyclops wakes up and continues his normal day, along with eating two of Odyseus's men. As he leaves the cave, Odyseus makes a plan to trick the Cyclops. As the Cyclops comes back and devours two more men, Odyseus offered some wine to the Cyclop in order to get him drunk. After getting him drunk, Odyseus says that his name is Nobody. He then stabs the Cyclop in the eye as he sleeps with a stake. The Cyclop screams out to his neighbors and said that Nobody did it. -

Escape and the Curse
Having tricked the Cyclop in the previous night, Odysseus and his men prepare their escape. They hold on the bottoms of the sheeps as the Cyclop opens the cave, and he can not see the men under there. As the sheeps exit the cave, they get off of the sheeps and run towards his ship. As he tells the ships to get ready, Odysseus decides to taunt the Cyclop by telling him he escape and his name. The Cyclop curse Odysseus by saying that Poseidon will make the journey more difficult for him. -

Aeolus and his magical bag of winds
After escaping the island of the Cyclop, they land on the Aeolian island, where they meet the king Aeolus. There, Odysseus is being hosted there for one month. During that month, he tells his story and is then given a bag of winds to help Odysseus go home. -

Lack of trust and greedy crew
As Odysseus is about to land back onto his home island of Ithaca. However, as Odysseus did not trust his crew, he was sailing for 9 days straight without sleep. He decides to sleep. As he sleeps, the crew thinks that Odysseus was given gold in the bag of winds. Deciding to take it for themselves, they open the bag, causing the winds in the bag to sent them back to the Aeolian island. -

Back to the Aeolian island
Odysseus and his crew lands back onto the Aeolian island. As he greets the king again, Aeolus grows angry and banish him and his crew from his island. The crew then sets sail for 6 days and 6 nights. -

Island of the Laestrygonian
Odysseus and his fleet lands on the Laesrtygonian land. On the island, they meet a girl who takes them to the king of the island. They enter a palace and sees a the king and queen, who are both giants called Laesrtygonian. The king welcomes them by eating one of his men. The crew tries to run away, only to have the king call out the townfolk. The Laestygonian all destory Odysseus's ships and hunt all of his men except the ones on Odysseus's boat. Odysseus escapes. -

After escaping the Laestrygonian island, they land on Circes island. They moun their lost friends and were tired for two days and nights -

Moral goes up
Odysseus decides to see if there was any sign of life on the island. He sees smoke coming from Circe's hall. After seeing this, he decides to hunt a large deer that was nearby. He killed it and brought it to his crew. He brought his crew moral up by saying how death will not get them and decides to feast on the deer and drink wine all day and night. -

From men to pigs.
The next morning Odysseus create two groups. One would be lead by himself while the other would be lead by Eurylochus. Eurylochus and his group scout the land and goes to the area near Circe's hall. Outside of the hall, they see exotic animals such as lions and wolves, but all of them are harmless to the crew. As they enter the hall, they meet Circe. She offers the crew drugged food and drinks. After giving the crew a meal, she transform the crew into pigs. Only Eurylochus escapes. -

Saving the men
Odysseus is now ready to face Circe after eating the moly. Walking into the hall, he meets Circe, who offers Odysseus the drugged food. He eats it and Circe tries to turn Odysseus into a pig. Odysseus does not due to him eating the herb earlier. Circe, shocked that he wasn't affect by her magic, seduces Odysseus to her bed, after swearing oaths not to harm Odysseus. After this, Circe turns the pigs back to men at Odysseus's request. They stay the night at her hall. -

A Meeting with a god
Eurylochus, having escape the turning into a pig, runs back to Odysseus's group. He explains how his group got turned to pigs and urges them to leave at once. Odysseus refuses and goes to save his men. As he walks to Circe's hall, he is stopped by Hermes who tells him to eat a herb called moly that will prevent Odysseus from being affect by Circe's magic while also telling him to make Circe swear an oath to not harm him. -

Preparing for Erebus
After staying at Circe's hall for a year, the men want to go back to Ithica. Odysseus says to Circe for him to go home. She allows it, however, Odysseus and his crew must enter the underworld to consult with the dead prophet Tiresias. In order to do so, he must dig a trench, fill it with various ingredents, along with killing a black ram. -

The Journey to the Underworld
Odysseus and his crew prepares to set sail to the Underworld. As they get ready to go, Elpenor (Odysseus's youngest crewmate), fell off the boat and snapped his neck. -

The Kingdom of the Dead
Entering the Underworld, Odysseus and his crew does the ritual needed to consult the dead. With it, many spirits came and tried to drink the mixture. Odysseus drew his sword and made the ghost come on at a time. The first to come up was Elpenor. He talks to Odysseus and makes the request to burn him in all his armor and plant an oar on his tomb, otherwise he will curse them. -

Meeting with the ghosts
After consulting with the prophet, Odysseus then talks with his mother. She tells him about the problems that are at home, how Penelope is staying loyal to Odysseus and the suitors are using his home. After this, he sees many famous spirits,such as Tyro, Oedipus, and Clymene. After seeing these people, Odysseus meets Agamemnon, who was murder in his own home by his wife. Agamemnon tells Odysseus to not trust women. The last three people he meets in detail are Ajax, Achilles and Heracles. -

Consulting a prophet
After seeing Elpenor, he sees his mother. However, he would not question her until he talks to Tiresias. Talking to him, he tells him that will see an island with the cattle of Helios. They should avoid the island and leave the catlle alone, otherwise his ship will be destory, his men ass kill and he will come home late and a broken men. Not only that, he will come home to see the suitors using his house. He must kill the suitors. Tiresias also predicts that Odysseus will die of old age. -

Back to Circe's island
As the crew head back from the Underworld, they arrive back to Circe's island to rest and to burn Elpenor's body. After this, they feast and relax for the rest of the day. Circe then gives warnings to Odysseus for the trip home. First, he must past by the Sirens, who's voice will tempt them. Then he must past by Scylla, who has six heads, and a dozen arm and legs, for this is the safer route over Charybdis, a giant whirlpool monster. Then avoid the island of Thrinacia and do not harm the cattle. -

The Deadly Trials
Beginning the journey back to home again, he prepare to past the Sirens by giving wax to his crew and telling them to tie him up. Odysseus hears the Sirens and is tempted to jump off the boat, but the crew makes the rope tighter. They pass the Sirens safely and Odysseus is untied. He then tells the crew to row faster in order to past Scylla. As they start to pass Scylla, she takes and eats 6 of his men. After passing Scylla, they see island with Helio's cattle. -

Landing to doom
Odysseus reluntantly lands on the island of the sun god after his crew talked about landing, only after swearing to not touch or harm the cattle. They stay on the island to rest and eat, however, a storm then arrive and is active for a month. -

The End of a Crew
After nearly starving for a few days without much food, Eurylochus convinces the men to kill the cattle and eat them while Odysseus sleeps. They eat the cattle and Helios wishes that Odysseus's crew be destory or he will never shine again. Zeus promises to do so. The crew then eats the cattle for the next 6 days. -

The Wrath of Helios
The men leave the island, and as they reach far enough away from land, Zeus strikes them with a lightning bolt and the ship is destory. The crew then drifts into Charybdis and is swallowed up. Odysseus is the only surviver due to him clinging onto a fig tree and hanging onto a piece of his ship as Chraybdis spits out the pieces. Odysseus then drifts to Ogygia for many years.
