Betamax was the very first/ earliest version of the cassette tape originally released in 1975. It became obsolete when the VHS tape was introduced. -
Vinyl Records
Vinyl records are basically the oldest version format for storing audio recordings. And they would be able to hold around 22 minutes of songs on each record. -
Floppy Disks
The floppy disks were a type of storage devices and the first floppy disk was 8-inches and able to hold storage that was around just 80 kilobytes of data and the smaller they got the more they could hold the smallest one was 3.5-inches and was able to hold 1.44 MB. -
Dumb Phones
The dumb phone was basically the first smartphones they only were able to call, text, and if you were lucky you would be able to play snake but overall they were extremely useful in their time. -
Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)
NES was the first of the Nintendo's successful consoles, you were able to play the popular games such as Duck Hunt, and Super Mario Bros, i t become a very popular gaming device in households. -
Fax Machine
The fax machine was the modern version of the telegram at the time, it allowed businesses and people to be able transmit scanned documents from one phone number to another number. -
Gameboy
Nintendo released another gaming console, that was able to be a handheld gaming device and many people bought them just because there were really good games on the console and it dominated many other portable devices since it had a good battery life compared to the other ones -
Phone Book
These books included the home phone numbers of residents and business listings of people within a geological area but now sadly replaced by modern technology. Although you can still see some around today posted on our front doors. -
Slide Projectors
The slide projectors appeared in the 1950's and was a popular form of home entertainment. The projectors would put on slide shows of images that were usually used to show snap images of family holidays or special occasions. -
VHS Tapes
In the 1980 the cassette tape became the slandered for home video they were used for recording family videos or renting from your local video store to watch the latest blockbuster and by 2008 DVD's overruled the VHS tapes.
