These were popular because this is where you get the news. These are becoming obsolete because they are creating newspapers online so people can see them on their technology.

This product has not been obsolete yet but they are quickly going away. They are going away because mobile phones are taking over. After all, they are way better than landlines.

    Phone books were used to store everyone's phone numbers so when you have to make a call you can open the book up and look for their number. This was an efficient way of calling people. The phone book was invented in 1878 and became the most popular in 1954. This item became obsolete in 2010 when the iPhone became more popular and the contacts app in the phone replaced it.

These were popular because before this there were no ways of playing things for people to watch. these became obsolete around the late '90s and early 2000s right after DVD recorders and other digital video recorders dropped rapidly in price.

    Blockbuster was a movie/show-based store where many people went to buy or rent movies for some time. October 19, 1985, it started, it was most popular in 2004, and it became obsolete in 2010-2014 when it went bankrupt and closed its final stores. This became obsolete because there were companies like Netflix and Disney + that came around and they were way better and at a cheaper price.

This iPhone had the iconic button on it and its purpose was to open the phone, and if that wasn't on it you couldn't open your phone. It was until they found an alternate way of doing it called FACE ID. This was made in 2017 for the iPhone X and that made the button obsolete.
