Noel Gallagher Born
Noel Gallagher was born in Manchester, England and was the middle child. His younger brother, Liam, would eventually be his partner in stardom. Early in his childhood, Noel had it rough; his father often beat him, so his mother decided to leave with Noel and his brothers to get away from him. After repeatedly getting in trouble with local police growing up, Noel found a passion for playing guitar and writing songs, which led him to join Liam's band, Oasis. -
"Definitely Maybe" Released
Oasis' first studio album was an incredible success, it was the fastest selling debut album in British history. All of the songs on the album were written by Noel, but he didn't take lead vocals in any of them. Despite not singing, he played lead guitar in all of the songs. -
Maine Road Concert
At one of Oasis' most popular performances, Noel performs one of his most famous songs, "Don't Look Back in Anger"; a song which he wrote and takes lead vocals.

Oasis Breaks Apart
After years of battling back and forth with his little brother, Noel walked out on the band right before a concert. Needless to say, the rest of the tour was cancelled, and Noel began looking for a new project.

Two years after walking out on Oasis, Noel founded his own band in which he is the front man. He released his first studio album on his own and saw commercial success in his home country , the U.K.

Noel Releases his Second Solo Album
In a tweet this last winter, Noel revisits his second studio album by saying "I wasn't put on this Earth to amass money or personal wealth. I was put on this earth to play guitar and write songs". This shows Noel's dedication to his career and how he is in it for the pleasure of music, not the money.
