Nobel Nigusse’s Life

  • Birth

    Nobel Nigusse as a baby. (Could not find a picture of me any you ger than that. Also, I was told that right after that picture I said my first word, no.)
  • Moving to San Francisco

    I was born in San Francisco but I lived in a apartment in Daly City for the first two years of my life. My parents needed the extra space for my little sister so we moved into a bigger house in San Francisco.
  • Becoming an older brother

  • Meeting my Grandparents for the first time

    My grandparents came to America after waiting 30 years to get a passport.
  • Becoming someone else’s older brother

    My little brother was born
  • Meeting my cousin the first time

    I met my first cousin who came from Eritrea. We consider each other brothers since then
  • Becoming an Alterserver

    One Sunday morning, I decided to go to mass with my grandmother. The entire time I ended up helping the elderly in church. After mass, the priest asked me to become an Alterserver.
  • Playing in a Eritrean Soccer Club

    Growing up, I never had a lot of exposure to Eritrean culture. So when I started playing in the Selam Soccer Club, i was able to learn so much about my culture.
  • Graduating middle school

    I graduated from Saint Brigid School.
  • Archbishop Riordan High School

    I became a student in Archbishop Riordan High School.
  • Becoming an intern at the Public Utility Commission

    A lot of the work I did during my internship related to my college major and dream career field, Data Science.
