"From a Logical Point of View" is published
In 1953, Quine published "From a Logical Point of View". This book, which consists of nine essays, one of which is "Two Dogmas of Empiricism". This essay questions the reliability of analytics/synthetics and reductionism. The relationship between analytics and synthetics are shown to fail due to their reliance on the understanding of language and synonyms. Reductionism is shown to have problems in translations.

"Word and Object" is published
In 1964, Quine publishes "Word and Object". This book continues ideas of his from "The Two Dogmas of Empiricism". Quine further elaborates on the problems with translations and their impact on knowledge.

Death
On Christmas in the year 2000 Quine died in Boston, Ma. Quine was instrumental in his time due to his questioning of "Logical Empiricism".
