    Nikola Tesla immigrated to America in 1882 to work closely with Thomas Edison and his company. During tesla's time there, he was offered $50,000 to fix a series of problems that Edison's company faced, only to be told it was a 'joke' after fixing them, quitting shortly after.

    Tesla created a company after leaving Edison called 'Tesla Light and Manufacturing' after meeting 2 business men. Tesla patented many designs under this company, but his business partners decided they wanted to focus on supplying electricity, leaving his company.

  • Tesla's Company comes back

    Tesla met up with 2 investors who wanted to bring the Tesla Electric company back up. From then, the 'Tesla Electric Company' was born.
  • Tesla creates the AC induction motor

    After creating his new company, Tesla created the world's first AC Induction Motor. This motor fixed all major flaws in previous designs. The Westinghouse Company licenced the technology.

    War of Currents

    The 'War of Currents' was a campaigning battle, with each side promoting either AC or DC respectively. Edison insisted to people that AC was unsafe and DC was safer. Due to both Edison ad Tesla undercutting each other's prices, Westinghouse was losing money. Westinghouse begged Tesla to sell his patents for a small price, of which Tesla agreed, losing out on his future fortune.
  • Columbian Exposition

    Tesla was asked by Westinghouse to supply power to the Columbian Exposition using his AC, successfully lighting up 'more lightbulbs than could be found in Chicago'. This feat' wowed the audience there with a variety of wonders.
  • World's first AC Power Plant in Niagara Falls

    Tesla helped Westinghouse to win a contract to build a power plant in Niagara falls, being the worlds first AC powered power plant.
  • Tesla's Laboratory is Destroyed

    In 1895 Tesla's laboratory in Manhattan is burnt down, destroying countless inventions, notes and patents in the process
  • First Wireless control of a Boat (First RC Car)

    Tesla demonstrated a boat that was controlled remotely through AC. Many who witnessed this boat thought it was simply a hoax.
  • Nikola's Death

    Nikola died sad, lonely and with many unpaid hotel bills. He was found in his hotel room dead at 85.
