The 'War of Currents' was a campaigning battle, with each side promoting either AC or DC respectively. Edison insisted to people that AC was unsafe and DC was safer. Due to both Edison ad Tesla undercutting each other's prices, Westinghouse was losing money. Westinghouse begged Tesla to sell his patents for a small price, of which Tesla agreed, losing out on his future fortune. -
Columbian Exposition
Tesla was asked by Westinghouse to supply power to the Columbian Exposition using his AC, successfully lighting up 'more lightbulbs than could be found in Chicago'. This feat' wowed the audience there with a variety of wonders. -
World's first AC Power Plant in Niagara Falls
Tesla helped Westinghouse to win a contract to build a power plant in Niagara falls, being the worlds first AC powered power plant. -
