    Bohr Model
Niels Bohr began his study on properties of an atom in 1912, this was the year where he had been introduced to Ernest Rutherford. In 1913 he released his description of an atom to be known as the Bohr Model. He was able to apply the quantum theory into his atomic model. In his model he described that there is positive charge in the nucleus and that the electrons orbit in a circular motion with a negative charge. His research had influenced the way that physics and chemistry developed.

    Nobel Prize in Physics
The fact that Niels Bohr had contributed to science by researching the structure of an atom had changed science for the better. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1922 for the research that he had done on the structure of an atom. He explained what happens in an atom and developed what we know today as the Bohr Model. An interesting fact about Niels Bohr is that Bohrium, a chemical element on the periodic table was named after Niels Bohr.
