Nobel Prize
Bohr, using qualities borrowed from the quantum theory, was able to create a picture of the atomic structure. In 1922, Bohr was awarded a Nobel Prize due to his work concerning the structure of atoms.

Atomic Nuclei
After beginning his work with the atomic nuclei, he concluded that the small area where interactions take place and the strength of them, can be described by a theory called the 'Water droplet theory.' This theory eventually led to an understanding of nuclear fission.

Open Letter to the United Nations
During the last few years of World War II, Bohr ran from Denmark and hid in England and America. After the war he used his work to advocate peaceful use of atomic physics and to have openness between nations after political problem arose from the development of atomic weapons.
