In 1911 Bohr stayed in Cambridge doing experiments in the Cavendish Laboratory under Sir J.J. Thomson’s guidance and also pursuing theoretical studies. Niels worked at Rutherford’s laboratory where he published his model of atomic structure. He introduced the theory of electrons traveling in orbits and chemical properties were determined by the number of electrons in the outer orbits. He also introduced the idea that an electron could change energy levels to a lower one, emitting a photon. -
The physical Mind of Bohr.
