Subjects came easy to Bohr besides Danish writing.
  • University of Copenhagen

    University of Copenhagen
Mr. Bohr enrolled at the university of Copenhagen like his father in 1903. He Went on to study physics. "When Niels Bohr was not philosophizing or playing football, he was often in the laboratory." -USPH Before Bohr started to study physics, J.J. Thompson had discovered elections. This would interest Bohr by a great deal.
  • Mr. Bohr's Bachelors Degree

    Mr. Bohr's Bachelors Degree
Mr. Bohr received his bachelors in 1907.
His obsession with science and experiments would grow his love of physics.
  • Mr. Bohr master's degree

    Mr. Bohr master's degree
Mr. Bohr obtained his masters in 1909. Taking chemistry, mathematics, physics classes, Bohr would soon obtain his masters and doctorate in physics.
Starts to prepare for more studies of the ELECTRON theory of metals. this will lead to his next degree.
  • Niels Bohr's Lovely Wife

    Niels Bohr's Lovely Wife
After school was done in 1909, Mr. Bohr had just recieved his masters degree.
Summer has come and while hanging out with some friends, Bohr meets a friend's sister by the name Margrethe Norlund.
The couple fell madly in love and decided to get engaged within the same year. "Those lovely eyes and heard him speak and saw how modest and friendly he was.” - Margrethe Norlund The couple grow to have 6 sons, but one sadly died as a baby.
  • Mr. Bohr's Doctorate Degree

    Mr. Bohr's Doctorate Degree
Mr. Bohr obtained his doctorate in 1911.
The world was at his feet.
    He studies under J.J. Thompson.
Notices that the electron system would be unstable if a solution was not made.
    A breakthrough would be made.
  • Professor Bohr

    Professor Bohr
In the year 1916, Niel Bohr becomes professor Bohr.
He became professor of theoretical physics.
Planning to build a more modern institute for his students that would eventully get approved in 1918 in Denmark. In the year 1929, a mathematics section would be considered at Coperhagen. Mr. Bohr's brother Harold Bohr was a very intelligent mathmatician. In 1930 Niel suggested this new section be build next to his.
This would keep the brothers close like they used to be in childhood.
  • Noble Prize

    Noble Prize
Mr. Bohr had recieved the Nobel Prize in the fall of 1922. " In the early 1920s he was able to explain the entire periodic table using his atomic theory." - USPH He also found the missing element that is number 72 (Hafnium). This is also a Latin term that means "Copenhagen." After his hometown. With the money from the Nobel Prize, Mr. Bohr bought a summer home in Tisvilde where a horseshoe would hang from the doorway.
This was known as his lucky charm.
  • The New Quantum Theory

    The New Quantum Theory
A group of scientists got together to discuss the new quantum theory. Out of 29 men that attended, 17 were Nobel Prize winners. Albert Einstein could not agree with Niel Bohr on the theory of physics.
Einstein would spend the rest of his life trying to come up with a new better theory. This result failed. "The new quantum theory says that tiny particles behave in ways that are totally different from normal objects that we can see, like basketballs or planets." - Libretexts
  • Nuclear War Is Coming

    Nuclear War Is Coming
The neutron is discovered by James Chadwick.
The neucler reacton would develop the same year which will help Enrico Fermi the following year to develp nuclear reactors. By 1936, Bohr would create his own nucleus model. With the war breaking out, Bohr will come to help scientits escape Germany during the war.
When the second World War breaks out, Bohr chooses to stay rather than flee which is very dangerous yet brave.
Bohrn didn't want to drop his work.
    Experiments must continue.
  • Nie Bohr's Final Years

    Nie Bohr's Final Years
When the second World War comes to an end, Bohr tries to fix up his institute. This will lead to an even bigger expansions of the property. This will lead to more classrooms and availability for more students to study at the institute. Mr. Bohr finds time to find better useful ways to use nuclear energy that won't hurt the environment as much during the late 1950's Mr. Bohr died at the age of 77 on November 18, 1962.
