Bohr early contributions to quantum physics
Bohr published a trilogy of articles in "The Philosophical Magazine" presenting "that electrons could only occupy particular orbits determined by the quantum of action and that electromagnetic radiation from an atom occurred only when an electron jumped to a lower-energy orbit." He developed an atomic model, increasing experimental data. Information from: Niels Bohr; Biography, Education, Accomplishments, & Facts; Britannica.comImage from: chem.libretexts.org -
Noble Price
He achieves a Noble Prize in Physics thanks to his research on atomic structure and radiation. Based upon Planck's quantum theory, Bohr proposes his own theory as "an anatomic structure in which the hydrogen atom is assumed to consist of a proton as nucleus, with a single electron moving in distinct circular or bits around it".
