I. On the constitution of atoms and molecules
Starting in 1912 as what would now be known as post-doctoral research, Niels Bohr started working on what would be known as Bohr’s Atomic Model. He started working with Ernest Rutherford from the University of Manchester. Bohr published three articles in 1913 that showed “that electrons could only occupy particular orbits determined by the quantum of action and that electromagnetic radiation from an atom occurred only when an electron jumped to a lower-energy orbit” (Britannica,1998) -
On the series spectrum of hydrogen and the structure of the atom
Niels Bohr explained the line spectrum of the hydrogen atom by assuming that the electron moved in circular orbits and that orbits with only certain radii were allowed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fm2C0ovz-3M

Niels Bohr Institute
Bohr opened a new school on March 3, 1921, at the University of Copenhagen that would eventually be named the Niels Bohr Institute that was dedicated to the younger generation of physicists being able to express their new ideas. -
Nobel Prize
On 10 December 1922 Bohr won the Nobel Prize for his work on the Atomic Model. In his speech, he proposed a toast to the advancement of science. -
Debates on Quantum Mechanics
Bohr started work on quantum mechanics after his work on the Atomic Model and often engaged in heated debates with other famous scientists of the time. Including Albert Einstein.
