Purpose of Act:
Parliament declared the right to tax and make decisions for the British colonists

Townshend Acts
Purpose of Act:
To tax goods such as glass, tea and paper and that tax had to be paid at the port of entry

Angered colonists and they started thinking only their represenatives had the right to tax them -
Tea Act
Purpose of Act:
To keep The Britsih East India Company from going under and facing bankruptcy and they got to control the trade on tea in America

Angered colonists so they ordered a new boycott -
Coercive Acts (Intolerable Acts)
Purpose of Act:
Harsh laws to punish people in Massachusetts for resisting British laws
Outcome of Act:
Angered colonists and they did not want to shelter the soldiers -
Quebec Act
Purpose of Act:
To set up a goverment for Quebec and Quebec got land west of the Appalchian Mtns and north of the Ohio River
Outcome of Act:
Angered colonists and they expressed their feelings in THEIR name for the new laws
