Manson is released from jail
After being in prison for most of his life Charles Manson is finally released from prison. After being released he moved to California where he met Mary Brunner. He moved in with her, but quickly took over, when he had 18 different girls living with them in her apartment. -
Manson family is created
In 1967 he formed a group of individuals who believes that its members believed Satan would become reconciled to Jesus, and they would come together at the end of the world to judge humanity. Manson soon had the first of his groups of followers, most of them female. -

Valentine Michael is born
After being together for a period of time, Charles and Brunner had their first child together, who they named Valentine Michael. -
Manson meets Dennis Wilson
While Dennis Wilson was high on LSD he picked up 2 hitchhikers who ended up being part of the Manson family. After this, he ended up finding Charles Manson in his driveway, who was looking for weed and to meet Wilson. After this the two began a partnership, where they would sing and preach together, and Manson had convinced Wilson to pay for all of the things that he would require to get his word out there. -
Wilson gets Manson in the studio
After the brief span of their partnership and Manson convincing Wilson to pay for his needs, Wilson pays for Manson to go into a recording studio to record songs. After this Wilson then introduced him to his various Entertainment Business Acquaintances, who took a liking to his aesthetic. They were intrigued by his life style and thought others would like it as well. -
The killings begin
After a threat was sent to the Spahn Ranch, which the Manson family was staying at, by a drug dealer named Bernard Crowe, Manson got angry. The threat was that everyone at the ranch would be killed because of the fact that he was robbed by someone in the Manson family. After this, Manson went to his apartment where he shot and killed Crowe. -
The killings pick up
As the popularity of the family grew so did the hunger for Manson's power and wealth. After word got out that a music teacher who was a friend of the family's was a wealth man Manson decided to pay him a visit. They kidnapped him and held him hostage for 3 days, but he kept denying that he was rich. After the 3rd day Manson had his cut off with a sword. This started a spiral of people from the family killing those that oppose them. -
Manson was apprehended
Police got a warrant and finally apprehended Charles Manson after finding multiple pieces of evidence of the killings that he had committed with the family. -
The Manson Trial begins
The case began with Kasabian, who was present at all the murders, but did not commit them as a key witness as she was gifted immunity. It was argued that Manson's key motive was taken from the Beatles song 'Helter Skelter' and how it predicted the end of the world that was coming, relating back to the religion. Many family members tried to convince witnesses to not testify, or tried to convince the judges to be kind towards Manson. -
The Verdict is Set
Charles Manson was found guilty of 7 counts of first degree murder, and 1 count of conspiracy to commit murder. However, the year that he got the death sentence it became illegal in the state of California, so it was converted to a death sentence. -
The family continued
After Manson, the family pretty much fell apart. However some of the members attempted assassinate the U.S. President Gerald Ford.
