The War of 1812 was fought on three fronts. The British attacked from Washington D.C., the Great lakes through Canada, and the South through New Orleans and the Mississippi. -
Battle of Lake Erie
The British were in Lake Erie so the Great Lakes shipbuilders make some ships for the American's. Perry commanded the American's and eventually defeated the British. -
Treaty of Ghent Ends the War
The treaty of Ghent officially ended the War of 1812. News traveled slowly so the British had attacked New Orleans after the war was over but Andrew Jackson defended the Americans
