Reed Hastings (CEO of Netflix) offered the CEO in Blockbuster $50 million dollars to have Netflix. The CEO of blockbuster denied the offer because at the time it was still a DVD renting business. He didn't realize the potential Netflix had.

It was launched out in canada for just a fee of $7.99 a month which was the lowest amount that will be paid in the world. Not long after it was in canada it was shut down “It closed down part of John St. in downtown Toronto because there were some actors getting paid to be there which made netflix really embarrassed.

Netflix released its first app for androids. When it was released it was only available for a handful of devices. The phones were HTC Incredible with 2.2+ HTC Nexus One with 2.2+ HTC EVO 4G with 2.2+ HTC G2 with 2.2+ Samsung Nexus S with 2.3+.

Netflix Agrees To Pay Comcast To End Slowdown
Comcast Internet customers have complained about a drop in quality of the Netflix streams being delivered to their homes, and Netflix’s own data showed a massive decline in connection speeds starting in October.
