Niels Bohr Proposes The Bohr Model
In 1913, Neils Bohr proposed an atomic model, known as the Bohr Model, which showed that electrons orbit around the nucleus in a circular motion. By absorbing or releasing energy, electrons are able to move from one orbit to the next. Video:

The Institute for Theoretical Physics was Founded
In 1921, the Institute of Theoretical Physics of the University of Copenhagen, a research institute, was established by physicist Niels Bohr. He had been working as a theoretical physics professor at the University since 1916. The institute conducted research on many sciences, including astronomy, particle physics, and quantum mechanics. Niels Bohr Awarded the Nobel Prize
In 1922, Bohr was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for his achievements, mainly for discovering atom structure and proposing the Bohr Model. -
Royal Society of London
Neils Bohr became a part of the Royal Society of London in 1926 and earned the Royal Society Copley Medal years later in 1938. He was also elected President of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences, as well as chairman of the Danish Atomic Energy Commission. Reference:

Atoms for Peace Award
In 1957, Niels Bohr was awarded the United States Atoms for Peace award for implementing sustainable nuclear technology. Bohr was a vocal advocate of international exchange as well as world peace. He partnered with Franklin Roosevelt and the United Nations in order to control weapons of mass destruction. Reference:
