Birth of Edward Kelly
Edward Kelly (Ned Kelly) was born in Beveridge north of Melbourne, 1855. -
The Kelly's Move
Ned and his family moved to Avenel Victoria, in 1864. While they moved there, Ned attened school and learnt how to read and write. -
Ned Saved A Life
When Ned Kelly was 11 years old he saved a man called Richard Shelton from drowning in Hughes Creek, Avenel, Victoria. Ned risked his own life to save another person, and was thanked by the Shelton family, with a green sash with gold fringe. -
Ned Left School
Ned left school after his father died after helping grandfather Quinn with the family cattle runs in Victoria. -
Red Kelly's Death
Ned's father ( Red Kelly) was reported dead by his own son Ned Kelly, and at the young age of 11, Ned also signed the death registration. -
The Kelly's move again!
After her husbands death ( Red Kelly) the widowed Ellen, moved with her 7 children to North-East Victoria, to be near her ralatives.Before long she chose to become a 'selector', and contracted around 80 acres of uncultivated farmland from the government at Eleven Mile Creek, (near the small township of Greta). -
Ned got arrested
Ned was 14 when he first got arrested. He was arrested for an alleged assault of a chinese pig farmer. He served 7 years in gaol for this crime. -
Ned arrested again
Ned Kelly was again put in gaol for three for after assaulting a hawker and for being in possession of a stolen horse. -
Ned Arrested Once Again
Ned arrested on suspicion of being Power's accomplice. Police detained Ned for nearly 2 months, but the case against him was dismissed for 'lack of evidence'. -
Ned goes into hiding
Kelly goes into hiding after being accused of assaulting a police officer. -

Ned Kelly and his gang dress as cops and rob a bank in Jerilderie. -
Police Shootout
Shootout between police and the Kelly gang at Glenrowan Inn. Kelly is arrested, the three members of his gang die in the shootout. -
The Last Stand
Ned Kelly's Last Stand The siege by the Kelly Gang of Glenrowan began on the 26th of June 1880
and finished on the 28th of June 1880. -
Sentenced to Death
Ned kelly was sentenced to death after his trial. -
