    After the Indian removal act, the US military would begin to lead the 5 civilized tribes to Oklahoma on feet through rough conditions leading to around 10,000 natives dying on the journey.

    The treaties were what made the US forgive the 5 civilized tribes for their prior crimes towards them before the treaties and the treaties also made the 5 civilized tribes have a friendship with the US.
  • The Dawes act

    The Dawes act
    The dawes act was aimed to assimilate tribes to American culture and also gave land that wasn't being used by the natives was sold off to settlers. The act divided up tribal land into individual alluments, ( 160 archers to a family, 80 archers to each singular person over 18, 40 archers to each every person under 18) and people who took the alluments were giving citizenship.
