    In the early 1920's Virginia was the first state to have Future Farmers clubs just for white males.
  • FFA becomes a national orginization

    FFA becomes a national orginization
    Teachers and students got together to guide the establishment of FFA and to estblish a clib for boys with similat farm interests. This meeting was in Kansas City, MO.
  • First National FFA Convention

    First National FFA Convention
    It was held in Kansas City, MO and 33 delagates from 18 states attended.
  • NFA was Formed.

    NFA was Formed.
    New Farmers of America. Was formed for black students in the south.
  • FFA recieves a Federal Charter

    FFA recieves a Federal Charter
    In 1950 FFA becomes one of the very few and lucky student orginizations to recieve a federal chatrer from Congress. The law is Public Law 740.
  • FFA and NFA Merge

    At the time the NFA consisted of 1,004 chapters within 12 different states.
  • Girls in the FFA

    Girls in the FFA
    IN 1969 Girls were allowed into the FFA for the first time. In the 1930's an FFA class in Massachusetts let girls into their lcub but in 1933 National Deleagtes of the FFA rejected them and said that they had 3 months to take the girls out of the club.

    In 1988 the name, Future Farmers of America, changed to National FFA orginization to show the growing diversity in the industry of agriculture.
  • Completes 7 Year Run

    In 2012 the National Convention completes their 7 year run in Indianapolis and ruturns to Louisville, Kentucky in 2013 and will be there for 3 years.
