Common Sense
A man called Thomas Paine was a colonist and a good book writer. Many colonist did not think Britan was doing anything bad so he wrote Common sense to make get to their logic. Most people read it and lots of colonists went against Britain too. Because of that book the colonist were able to go war to get independance. -
Declartion of Independance
A colonist called Thomas Jefferson was asked by the main leaders of each colony of America to write the Declaration of Independance. He agreed and did it. When he was finished John Adams and Benjamin Franklyn said to change the minority of the Declaration. When they finnally completely finished it they presented it to the council and they agreed on it on July 4, 1776. -
Crossing the Delaware River
It was the first move in a surprise attack organized by George Washington against the British forces in Trenton, New Jersey on the morning of December 26. Planned in partial secrecy, Washington led a column of Continental Army troops across the icy Delaware River in a logistically challenging and dangerous operation. -
African Americans at War
The Americans have already started the war and they have been loosing most battles. When they started the war most tennagers and adults wanted to join, but when they saw how dangeorus it was they most decided they did not want to join anymore, so they let free Arican Americans fight in the Revolutionary War. -
Woman at War
During the American Revolution thousands of women took an active role in both the American and British armies. Most were the wives or daughters of officers or soldiers. Women were mostly in the aid area , but some women were in the real action. Some women even got captured during the war and others killed. -
American Traitor
Arnold was a general during the American Revolutionary War who originally fought for the American Continental Army but defected to the British Army. While a general on the American side, he obtained command of the fort at West Point, New York, and planned to surrender it to the British forces. After the plan was exposed in September 1780, he was commissioned into the British Army as a brigadier general.
