    Napoleon led armies into Italy. This was failing in the beginning but ended in victory.
    They were defeated and outnumbered but came up with an attack that gave them victory.
  • Egyptian Campaign (Red)

    In an expedition to Syria, Napoleon was defeated. He had to withdraw after the Battle of the Nile.
    This was unsuccessful and led to death. After troops were left to die.
  • Consulate (Yellow)

    Napoleon overthrew the directory and replaced it with a new government, the Consulate.
    This proved successful for Napoleon. But abolished certain privileges.

    Napoleon created this bank to grow and restore the broken economy.
    The bank did in fact benefit the economy and help restore it.

    This agreement created a new status for the Roman Catholic Church.
    It ended reforms and solidified the church.

    Napoleon took the title of consul for life. This caused abolishment of privileges and class.
    This was successful at first with benefiting majority of the population. In the end it wasn’t enough.

    This code made men have higher control over their families. Equal rights among men were produced.
    This was great for men of the period but bad for women and children.

    Napoleon names himself emperor and his wife empress. The event was lavish and expensive.
    The French people weren’t affected by this and knew it meant no change for their current state.

    This battle ended with a British win. This helped them become the largest sea power.
    This was bad for the French because they lost and men were killed including Nelson.

    The Holy Roman Empire was defeated by the French Army. It was organized into the Confederation of the Rhine.
    This was a huge success for France. Conquering more land.

    Napoleon set up a blockade to stop British forces. This banned trading posts to Britain.
    This was ineffective and led to his fail.

    People in Madrid led a revolt against Napoleon. He used military forces to end it.
    It proved beneficial in the end for Napoleon but meant bloodshed.

    This invasion lasted six months. It caused many deaths for the French. The weather and logistics led to the failure.
    It was unsuccessful for the people of France. A huge loss of men and time.

    The battle was a defeat for the French. There was nine hours of losses. The French army was pushed back.
    This was not successful for the French. It created deaths and defeat.

    This was the period between Napoleon’s exile and him marching to Paris after being in exile.
    This ended the war in Waterloo and helped return a king to the throne.
  • Waterloo (Red)

    This fight left Napoleon completely defeated and ended his era. His final defeat.
    Many men were taken prisoner or died.
  • Abdication (Green)

    Abdication (Green)
    Napoleon abdicates in the favor of his son. Napoleon failed.
    This however was successful for the people of France.
