Napoleon was born in Corsica August 15, 1769. Corsica is a French-ruled island that is located in the Mediterranean. -

In 1789 the Egyptian campaigned turned out to be a disaster. Napoleon found out a way to hide the worst losses from his admirers in France. This would not have been done without network spies and censoring the press. -

In December of 1793 Napoleon entered into the French army. He won several victories against the Austrian, and he pushed the British forces out of France. -

In 1804, Napoleon had enough power to assigned the Emperor of the French. For his coronation the pope was invited. During the ceremony since the pope was supposed to put the crown on Napoleon, but Napoleon took the crown out of his hands and placed on his head. -

Napoleonic code was a code of laws. This included Enlightenment principles which included equality of all citizen before the law, religious toleration and the abolition of feudalism. On the other hand women lost their rights while the men were the heads of household. -

A military arrangement of Napoleonic wars that had ended in a great victory for their emperor Napoleon. -

The grand army had about 600,000 soldiers and their 50,000 horses invaded Russia. -

There was a new alliance in Russia, Britain, Austria, and Prussia, that went against France in 1813. -
Napoleon’s exile to Elba
When Napoleon stepped down from power his victors sent him to Elba. When Louis XVIII came to power it did not go well. -
Napoleon’s exile to St. Helena
He was exiled to St.Helena after the battle of Waterloo and later on died in exile. They moved him farther away from France so that he wouldn't escape again. -
Napoleon’s return
After 100 days of being exiled to Elba Napoleon returned. -
The Battle of Waterloo
Napoleon's troops were defeated by the Prussians. After the battle Napoleon was exiled again farther away from France and went to Saint Helena, later on he had died in Saint Helena. -
The Battle of Trafalgar
In 1805 Napoleon is defeated by the British Admiral Horato Nelson. The Battle of Trafalgar was overseas and a naval battle.
