    1966: The career begins ( Age 22)
Dr. Cartwright graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. But this was only her first degree that she completed. She then went on to receive her Ph.D. In Philosophy from the University of Illinois Chicago just years later. By the bright young age of 27, Dr. Cartwright was well on her way to having any amazing career in Philosophy. A career in which she focuses on Contemporary Philosophy.

  • The Journey Continues

    The Journey Continues
Along the way, Dr. Cartwright has influenced and mentored many philosophers such as Naomi Oreskes, Roman Frigg, Peter Menzies and Hasok Chang. And the best part about his whole topic, is that Dr. Navy Cartwright is still alive. She still does lectures and visitations to universities. Which means there is still the chance to listen to her speak in person. So often the astonishing philosophers that we learn about in our books are long gone to us. But fortunately, there are still plenty still here.
