First Nail Polish
The first nail polish was originated by the chinese in 3000BC. It contained beez wax, gelatin, gum arabic, and egg whites. They had to dip their hands in this mixture for along time. (several hours) and their nails turned the color of the polish. (usualy red or pink). They also used the nail polish for social ranking. -
Homemade Nail Polish
People started making nail polish at home with the help of reciepe books. Then there was a different color created, almond or like a skin color was used alot. -
Gothic Style Nail Polish
Starting around the 1970s gothis style nails were in. Balck and dark colors became very poplular. Guys and girls wore dark nail polish to show a punk and edgey style in music. -
French Tip Design
The french tip became a big deal in the late 1970s. It started in France when it was introduced on the runway as a new trend. Now it is a basic skill in nails and people now a days use any color you can think of as a cool tip disign. -
Crackle Design
Crackle design was first introduced in 2010 and was a big style in nail art. People still use it today and add nail art to it. -
Glowing Nial Polish
Glow in the dark was invented by the same company that invented regular nail polish (car paint). They were messing around with things and then tried to make glow in the dark liguid/substance and finally found the perfect solution. This happened pretty revelent in 2011. -
