  • AGE 0

    AGE 0
From age 0, which is considered infancy, they begin to develop what is called trust or mistrust. Since they're considered helpless, they rely on those around them to submit to their every need. If those needs are met and they are comforted, they are highly likely to trust that person and grow up trustful, but if not, they begin to learn mistrust and have a higher chance of being less trusting in adolescence.

    AGE 1
In this stage of age 1, infants slowly become to be toddlers. This is when they begin to learn what their interpretation of language is and try to develop higher levels of cognitive thinking when they try to imitate them. They also begin to develop a stronger memory by doing things such as remembering a familiar face, name, and voice. This stage also helps the toddlers to posses the ability to explore things, by hitting, banging, shaking, or throwing them.
  • AGE 2 (TERRIBLE TWOS)

    AGE 2 (TERRIBLE TWOS)
In this stage, toddlers become even older reaching age 2. This introduces the idea of independence to them. Again, those around them heavily influence their decision making skills and provides them with what they with what they will behave like later in life. So when parents or caregivers show them that they can be independent and have independent ideas, they are likely to grow with self-efficacy and explore by themselves, whereas dependence being excessively shown may lead to less confidence.
