Tertiary Circular Reaction
http://myvirtuallife.com/#/raise/mychild/12/301 Emma continualy throws a toy outside of her crib so she can examine the reaction. this is what Piaget describes as Tertiary Circular Reactions (pg. 187). Emma was 12 months old when she did this. they typical age range for this behavior is usually about 12-18 months. -
Gender Roles.
Now that Emma is four years old she has started to understand gender roles and they are becomeing slightly more rigid. she categorizes certian objects and occupations as male or female. this is typical behavior for children aged 3-4 years old. (pg. 257) -
Seperation
Emmas parents seperated and it is hard on her. she is displaying a typical response to the spereation. negative mood and being a little more difficult when she is given instruction. (pg. 317). roughly 25% of children with seperated parents have behavioral problmes.
