Traditional and New media
Since time immemorial, traditional media has been used for communication and expression. also refers to traditional forms of mass communication practiced by various cultures and societies, or that are embedded in local custom or tradition. While new media refers to any digitally delivered media, such as newspaper articles and blogs, music, and podcasts. Any internet-based form of communication, from a website or email to smart phones and streaming apps, can be considered new media. -
Traditional television
This was my first exposure to the media as a child. I always watch my favorite cartoon before going to school. This system transmits a visual image and sound generated on screen. -
DVD
My parents purchased this one previously, and they used it to watch the movie CDs, but sometimes I listened to a song CD. -
Billboard
When me and my mother always go to Manila, I always see the billboard, and as a kid, I am always amazed by the big picture on the billboard. -
Radio
This radio uses sound communication to transmit music, news, and other types of programs. My lola and lolo enjoy listening to the news on the radio, especially when there is a brownout or a typhoon approaching. -
Newspaper
I was early exposed to newspapers because my lola always buying when she went to a local market or after going to church. This newspaper is usually distributed weekly and contains articles, news, and advertising. -
Keypad phone
Nokia was the first phone I ever saw and touched. I always use Tito's phone to play games on. The first generation of mobile phones were only capable of making and receiving calls. -
Playstation
My sister and I, as well as my Tito, are always playing video games such as Tekken and racing games. This is our favorite hobby. Playstation is a video game console developed by Sony that was released in 1994, followed by the PS2. -
Telephone
My first time using a telephone was when I was at my aunt's house. I always the one who pick the call when there's calling someone -
Internet
When I was in high school, I was completely immersed in the world of the internet. This internet network offers a wide range of information and communication services. -
Facebook ,Wattpad, and Messenger
I was first introduced to this app, which is a popular and free social networking website that allows you to create profiles, send messages, and read various genres such as poetry, fantasies, and romance. -
Twitter and Instagram
This is the app I usually use to tweet and share my thoughts, as well as to upload photos. -
Smartphone
This phone was a gift from my parents; it is a mobile handheld device that allows users to make and receive calls. Mobile phones are more commonly referred to as "smartphones" due to the additional voice and data services they provide.
