Was called the seven year war. Was between Britain an France. Parliament was already taxing its people, so they decided to tax the colonies. They were happy to pay but wanted to be represented in Parliament. King George lll refused and sent more taxes. They were furious and protested every tax until parliament repealed all taaxes except tea. -
American Revoultion
Started as an open conflict between the united thirteen colonies and Great Britain. The colonies won there independece, Was a disagreement over the way in which Great Britain treated. The Americans felt they deserved all the rights of Englishman. The Britains felt that the colonies were created to be used in the way that bet suited the crown parliament. No taxation without representation. Influenced movements, self determination and liberty. -

The Lousiana Purchase was an incredible deal for the United States. France sold it for 5 cent an acre at 15 million dollars (about 283 in todays dollars) it was over 828,000 square miles. The land was west of the Mississippi River to thr begininig of the Rocky Mountains. -

Manifest Destiny is the term for the attitudeprevalent during the 18th century period of American Expansion. In my opinion they were rude snd mean and racist. They wanted everybody to be just like them. They also thought since they defeated the Britains they can defeat the Indians. -

Barak becomes president
Barak Obama became president the 44th president. He was the first black president. He was the third African American to be elected to that body. It was important because he was the first African American to be elected president and being the 44th.
