Mickey's Son
Saw our neighbor Mickey with her special needs son in a wheelchair going for a walk. Sometimes he would walk, sometimes in wheel chair. Asked and she told me he had a disability and sometimes he didn't feel capable of walking but they would still go on their walks. -
Mrs. parrot's Class
Realized that some students in my class would leave during the day and only come for certain parts of the day because they were in a special day class with Mrs. Parrot. Learned our school had special day classes. -
6th Grade Camp
met Seth who went to school with my cousin. He was special needs and had an aid with him during camp. He was nonverbal. -
Homecoming
My freshman year of high school we had a homecoming queen with down syndrome. She won because everyone liked her and she was nice, we didn't see her disability, we just saw her.
