    The main character, Mia, has a condition called synesthesia, meaning sounds and words have colors. She had a cat named Mango, who was her best friend. Slowly, Mia revealed her secret to the world and would learn more about her condition.

    Ponyboy and his gang are Greaser and have a heated rivalry with the rich Socs. Ponyboy and Johnny kill a Soc and have to run away from town, hiding from the police. As they are hiding, they become closer friends, making it that much more painful for Ponyboy when Johnny dies. Through this, Ponyboy realizes there is no point in fighting the Socs and ends the dispute between the groups.

His family and him, rescue people from terror and pain. The world changed completely as everyone fought for everything.

Andy, however, is determined to find this man and investigates until he figures out the caller is a friend of his father's. Andy then stalks him until he is able to defeat the thorn in his side.

Also, they must save Piper's father before he is eaten by the giant Enceladus. The friends learn more about themselves on their adventure and become better friends.

    Immediately, Holling Hoodhood is determined that Mrs. Baker hates him. Every Wednesday, everyone leaves for religious classes, but Holling. He is stuck with Mrs. Baker, who forces him to do work and read Shakespeare. However, Holling becomes friends with Mrs. Baker and is able to look at life differently because of reading Shakespeare.

    Jonas, realizes he is different from everyone else in his community. While everyone else is assigned a job, Jonas is selected. He becomes the Receiver of Memory and spends everyday with The Giver. Jonas has to hold all past memories so the community doesn't get them. Jonas learns about emotions, colors, and weather. In order for the community to return to the way things were, Jonas must travel to Elsewhere.
  • Self Assessment

    My reading level has improved as I am reading more challenging books that have more difficult words. I am able to think more deeply and really express what I am thinking through details. I want to read more books next year and have a larger vocabulary. This year I read a lot of books, but I would like to read more challenging ones.
