I rate this novel a 5 out of 5 stars. The conflict in this story is that, Lucy Desberg and her family are having money troubles with a pharmacy. Lucy ends up discovering a talent she has which is doing make-up. Homecoming queen shows up with a disaster and Lucy manages to help her through it. Lucy tries everything she can to help save the pharmacy and make it the center of town again. By helping the pharmacy, Lucy does has a makeover for every school dance and bat mitzvah. -
The Outsiders
I rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars. The plot in the novel is that there is two teen gangs which is the greasers and socs, a rival group. Johnny and Ponyboy get into a brawl with one of the socs and ends up killing one of them. The boys try and hid it from people so they don't get in big trouble. -
My sisterhood of the Traveling pants
I rate this book a 4 out of 5 stars. The setting of this book takes place in multiple locations around the world. This is because the 4 girls (Carmen, Tibby, Lena, and Bridget) all go on vacations in the summer. They share one pair of pants and write their memories on them so everyone knows what they are doing while they are on vacation. -
Al Capone Does my Shirts
I rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars. The conflict in the story is that Moose (main character) his sister has a type of disease and his family is trying hard to put her into a school. But the family has money problems so they relied on the dad to make all of the money. In order to get Natalie (Moose's sister) back into the school he wrote a letter to the principle of the school saying how she has gotten better and how she changed a lot. -
The Giver
I rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars. The conflict in the story is a young boy named Jonas which receives a job for the rest of his life and that is Receiver of Memory. That job is highly important job. Someone is going to transit memories from long long ago to Jonas. Jonas ends up getting a memories of the color red, sled, a apple, pale eyes, the river, etc. Jonas asked for a painful memory and ends up getting one and he ends up breaking his leg from the sled. -
Out of my Mind
I rate this book a 3 out of 5 stars. The plot in the story is when a girl named Melanie, is in a wheelchair and can't do much for herself. She doesn't have many friends in school because she thinks that people just dislike her for who she is. Melanie's mind works really really well but, she can not speak. In order for her to get her point across, she has to use hand motions for people to understand what she is saying to them.
