When my first Cultural background started immigrating to Canada, many hindus arrived from british colonies that were achieving independence, some were discriminated against south asians.

My mother, Malini singh at age 8, arrived in Canada with my grandparents (Durga & Deokie Persaud) and her sister (Kamal) They lived with their relatives, till they could rent out a house
