In 2014, I encountered television because my mother won in a lottery draw. She bought it so that we could spend a lot of time with my family while watching TV. Television is a telecommunication medium for transmitting moving images and sound. -
Newspaper
At the age of 9, I started discovering newspapers because my mother liked to know the news every day. Then, I began to learn how important it is to stay informed and updated, especially in our community, by reading the news daily. A newspaper is a printed publication containing news, articles, and advertisements that provide information on current events and topics of interest to the public. -
Radio
When I first encountered the radio in 2016, my mother bought it because there was a boy selling radios, and then my father wanted to listen to a drama on the radio. I was also interested in listening to music and drama. Radio is a communication medium that uses electromagnetic waves to transmit audio content to a wide audience. -
Keypad
The keypad has been my first gadget since 2017, which I have been using because my older sister works in Cebu City. She bought me the keypad so that she could always communicate with my mother to keep her updated. The cellphone keypad is a physical input interface on mobile devices that consists of numerical and navigational keys for typing, dialing, and navigating menus. -
Computer
When I was 12 years old, I encountered computers because of our subject in Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE). It was my first time using a computer, and I was nervous because I was scared of making a mistake and potentially having to pay for it if I broke it. A computer is an electronic device capable of performing various tasks by processing data and executing instructions through its hardware and software components. -
Facebook and Messenger
In 2019, I first encountered Facebook and Messenger on my classmate's cellphone. She offered to help me create a Facebook account using her phone, and because of her, I am able to communicate with my aunts and uncles through Messenger by chatting with them. Youtube
I have been using YouTube since 2020, on my older sister's phone because I love watching movies and seeing music lyrics. My sister and I get interested in watching any kind of movies that inspire me to be brave in every obstacle in my life. YouTube is a popular video-sharing platform where users can watch, upload, and share a wide variety of videos on different topics and interests. -
TikTok
I started using TikTok when I was 15 years old. My friend recommended it to me, so I decided to install it. Every time I watched short videos, I was amazed at how people expressed their talents, such as dancing and lip-syncing, through TikTok. TikTok is a social media platform for creating, sharing, and discovering short videos. -
Instagram
Last year in 2023, I first encountered Instagram on my nephew's phone. So, I decided to try this app, create an account, and post pictures. I am also interested in viewing others' stories. Instagram is a popular social media platform where users can share photos and videos, connect with others, and explore a wide range of content based on their interests. -
Spotify
This year in 2024, I encountered Spotify using my classmate's phone. She played music while we were asleep in school. I also love music, especially when I'm feeling drained and depressed about my academic and family problems. Spotify is a digital music streaming service that allows users to listen to a wide range of songs, podcasts, and playlists on various devices.
