My life

  • My birth

I was born the 2nd of February of 2007 to loving parents and a 3 year old sister.
  • My baptism

I obviously can’t remember my baptism at all but I decided to put it in my life’s timeline because the day you’re christened is a very important day in your life.
  • My first time visiting my family in Dublin

I don’t recall the trip but I know I was a couple months old and it was the first time my family from Dublin met me. I don’t have an actual photo from that exact trip but I have one from another year. We’ve been going to Dublin every year for Christmas since I can remember and it’s truly my second home.
  • My first day of school

    My first day of school
I started kindergarten when I was 2 years old at this school and met some of my lifelong friends.
  • My brother’s birth

    My brother’s birth
I spent the day my brother was born crying because I was jealous that I wasn’t the youngest in the family now. That jealousy went away very quickly though, I love him a ton and I’m very grateful to have him.
  • My first communion

    My first communion
I remember being so excited for my communion mainly because I got to do it with my friends and because I would get presents and be dressed like a princess.
  • I skipped a year

This moment in my life was confusing. I didn’t know what to do, teachers in school were pressuring me to do so, and my friends didn’t want me to. I was worried about the consequences it would have on my social and academic life and cried more than I was supposed to at that age, it wasn’t my greatest year but I’m very happy with the overall outcome.
  • My brother’s first communion

    My brother’s first communion
I was very happy for my brother, he looked very handsome and grown up and I got to see my family all together again for the first time since covid, it was a very good day.
  • My sister’s graduation

    My sister’s graduation
This day I remember almost crying because I saw my sister happy and beautiful and I felt very proud and crouded with emotions for her.
  • The best experience of my life

Last summer I received a scholarship to go abroad for three weeks. I went to Milton Keynes a small town in England, with honestly not that much to do, but it wasn’t the place that was the good part, it was the people I met, some of them are now my some of my closest friends and see them often. We went on day trips to London and oxford and it was overall an amazing experience which I’d love to relive.
  • The day my sister got into her dream college

The day my sister got into her dream college
This day I got woken up by my sister crying out of excitement mixed with nerves. She had always wanted to go to Trinity college, the best college in Dublin, the city my father was born in and our favorite place to visit, our other home. She got in, I felt very proud and happy for her.
  • The day my sister left for college

This was a bittersweet day, I felt happy that she was going to be making her dreams come true, but sad that she wouldn’t be at home, I hadn’t experienced that ever before and was scared.
  • Now

Right now I’m sitting in class thinking about every moment I’m describing and it’s very sad to think that we’re getting older and not cherishing these moments as much as we should.
