My brother was born
My brother was born on November 20, 1998. I was 4 years old at the time and I remember staying at my grandparent's house until my mom came home from the hospital. It had such a big impact because I was now not my parent's center of attention anymore. Rather, I had to share it with this new family member which at first, did not go over well with me. -
Best Friends with Allison
In kindergarten, I became best friends with Allison Manchester. To this day, she still remains my best friend and we know everything about each other. It has had such a strong impact because for 12 years we have been the best of friends and that is pretty remarkable. She has always been there for me and I have always been there for her. -
We got my dog, Coco!
We got my dog, Coco in the summer before 7th grade. My parents purposely bought her for the summer time so my brother and I would be home to take care of her and learn responsability. We had to play with her, let her outside, and feed her everyday. It taught me that having a dog is not all fun and games, that it takes a lot of work and responsability to take care of an animal. It also forced me to be responsible. -
Started playing Volleyball.
I began playing volleyball in 7th grade because I wanted to try to it out. My mom had played volleyball and she suggested that I try out for the team too. So I began playing volleyball and I haven't stopped since then. It has significantly affected my development because it has made me stronger and quicker athletically and more responsible and has improved my time management. -
I Got My First Horse.
I got my first horse at an auction in Ohio. He came all the way up from Florida and it was the happiest day of my life! Although he put me through rough times, he forced me to be patient and to be persistant in life. Those aspects have greatly impacted my development because I was also forced to be mature and hard working for what I wanted him to be. -
Started dating Wroe
I started dating my current boyfriend, Wroe, in the summer before freshman year. We have been together all through high school, so I guess you can call us high school sweethearts! This has significantly affected my development because I have had that love and support all through high school. He is always behind me 100% and I know I always have someone to rely on and trust with anything. He's my best friend. -
Church Camp
I went to church camp with my church youth group in the summer. I became closer with my church family and also closer to God. This has signifcantly affected my development because I have found God and have grown in my faith for Him. -
Grandpa Died
My grandfather passed away on January 17, 2011. He died of a massive heart attack at work, but suffered no pain. It has signficantly affected my development because my grandpa ment a lot to me and unfortunately, I did not get to see him for awhile before he passed. In this event, it has taught me to be strong for my family and for myself. -
I received a scholarship to St. Joseph's College
I received a scholarship to St. Joseph's College to play volleyball with them in the fall of 2012. This has affected my development because I learned why hard work pays off and also I get to further my education at a great school while staying physically fit. -
I became closer friends with Jessica, Kerri, Chloe, and Aly
I became closer friends with Jess, Kerri, Chloe and Aly during volleyball and football season this past fall. This has affected my development because I have made new friends that are always there for me and I spend a lot of time with them. They have an influence on my decisions, but they are good influences because they always have my back in any situation. -
High School Graduation
This event will affect my development because it will allow me to move on with my life to bigger and better things. I will be able to focus on starting my volleyball season in college along with preparing for the next stepping stone in my life. -
Going Away to College
I will be attending college around this time, officially moving out of the house. This will affect my development because I will have to learn to take care of myself and not always depend on my family. However, I am very excited to start studying things that will apply to my intrest and my career in college! -
Volleyball Tournament in Denver, Colorado
I will be going to Dever, CO to attend a volleyball tournament with St. Joes. It will affect my development because I will experience new places and things with girls that I will be just getting to know. Also, it will be the first time traveling without my mom or dad so it will be a big step in my life. -
College Graduation
I will be graduating college around this time so I will officially have to start my career and figure out what my next step in life will be. This will affect my development because I will be thrown out into the real world and I will have to start job hunting and figuring out where I want to live and start setting life goals for myself. It will make me become responsible and mature. -
Starting My Career
I plan on hopefully finding a steady job by this point in my life. It will affect my development because I may need to move to where my degree and career is most needed and I will essentially be all grown up. I will start to figure out where I will move to and start my search for homes. This will force me to make sure I make all the right decisions and keep my family in close touch so they can help me as much as possible. -
Buying my first home or apartment
I will have to purchase my new home or apartment because I will have to move to where my job is needed. It will probably be somewhere South and on the coast because I would like to work with Marine animals. This will affect my development because I will officially be on my own away from my parents so I will need to set priorities and goals for myself for what I want to achieve and what I need to accomplish or get done. -
Get Married
I plan on getting married out of college hopefully to Wroe. I'm completely happy with him and don't want to find anyone else as of now. Marriage will signifcantly affect my development because I will be starting a whole new life with someone and we will need to compromise and communicate with each other to make our relationship work out to a happy, long marriage. -
Show My Horses
I plan on having horses to own and show so I want to be able to do that as long as I have a steady job to afford it all. This will affect my development because I have always loved horses and wanted to show and raise them so this will be a dream come true. It will fulfill my natural competitiveness and I will be achieving my dreams. -
Have kids
I plan on having kids in my late 20s so I can experience my life while I'm younger. This will affect my development because I will become a mother, so I will need to develop a sense of selflessness and prepare myself for raising kids. Also, I will become even more responsible and organized once they begin to grow up. -
Own a Small Horse Farm
I want to fulfill my life long dream of owning a small horse farm where I raise and train my own horses. This will affect my development because it will allow me a place to escape my stresses and be with the animals I love. Also, I will have to take on a lot more responsibilities and make sacrifices in life in order to afford this farm.
